Abstract
We show that the plurigenera \deltam of a surface
singularity have the polynomial periodicity.
For a Q-Gorenstein surface singularity, we give a necessary condition
for \deltam being a polynomial;
if the index of the singularity is not more than two, then the
condition is also sufficient.
